Seeing The Funny Side

Does anyone know where I can buy a tent??? I need something to wear!!

It's official... I'm huge... I've grown out of almost every shirt I own.. I'd been trying to wear my shirts for as long as I could but watching them creep up my ever expanding belly was just not a good thing... I'm into the maternity stuff now which is not surprisingly much more comfortable, and you can't see my belly button all the time :-)

Work has been a little quiet over the last couple of weeks as all the builders are on holidays, so we've had a good opportunity to catch up with everything.. I even managed to do some filing (shock horror).. With only 6 weeks of work left they have anounced my replacement. She is currently working in the Enquiries team, and we love her, she's going to be great!!! I'm looking forward to training her over the next few weeks, although I have told her not to get too efficient as I'll be looking to come back part time in October (I think I told work September.. bugger, must change that..) and I'm going to need something to do..

Dr Boof is coming down for the night tomorrow night, so it'll be great to catch up with her and talk weddings (she is getting hitched in July), How exciting!!! I can't wait to help with anything she needs, my wedding day was so great it'll be almost like reliving it, except I get to make the speech about her this time (hehe.. Should have thought about that shouldn't you Boof?)...

Apart from that.. I'm looking forward to sleeping.. Being this big is actcually pretty uncomfortable, so if I do this pregnancy thing again (and before you say anything, let me get through this one first), I want to be doing it 20 kilos lighter... Seriously.....

Not too much else to report really.. Will check in with some pictures after the weekend...

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Welcome to 2007!!!!!

Here's hoping this year brings everyone lots of happiness, and lots of new opportunities!!!

Counting Down!!!

Wow.. I have 10 weeks and 5 days until our due date (well, one of them anyway). We've been told 2 dates, the 21st March and the 26th March... I'm hoping for the earlier one as I can't wait to meet our little bub :-)

My doctor told me the other day I will be finishing work on the 23rd Frbruary, which is 7 weeks away.. The time is going to absolutely fly!!! I had been hoping to work through until 1 or 2 weeks after that but Doc said that by the time the 23rd of February rolls around I'll be thanking him for making me stop work... I'm sure I will...

Will have to get Hubby to take another belly picture so you can see how much we have grown!! We're getting really big now..

Hubby has been really cute lately, reading stories to my belly and chatting to Beanie every day.. Beanie liked last nights story as I was getting some kicks as Hubby was reading.. I think it's awesome that Hubby is so actively involved and interested in this pregnancy! it must have been hard for him in the beginning, all he could see was a sick, tired, whinging wife and a blob on an ultrasound screen which was supposed to look like his baby... Now he can feel Beanie, and see Beanie I think it has become a lot more real to him!! I love you Hubby, and I really appreciate everything you're doing for Beanie and I :-)

Awwwwww

Hubby is such a cutie!! As I was just about to walk out the door this morning to come to work, he was snoozing peacefully in bed as he is still on holidays... I went over to kiss him goodbye and he murmered "you look really nice today." AWWW....

I went off to work with a lovely confidence boost and Beanie's foot kicking under my right ribcage.

We had our "Glucose Challenge" yesterday too.. That's where they test for gestational diabetes.. I was supposed to have it a couple of weeks ago but had put it off as work and Christmas got in the way a bit... The test involves taking a fasting blood sample, then giving you 300ml of glucose to drink (ugh.. it tasted awful), then you have to hang around for an hour and have another blood sample taken.. So.. empty tummy + lots of glucose doesn't mix very well.. Ugh.. It reminded me of the lovely days of morning sickness.. I get the results in a few days
