3 and a half... Or 4 weeks to go

Depending on who you talk to apparently, We have either 3 and a half weeks, or 4 weeks to go until Beanie is due.. Here is a pic Hubby took this morning.. :-)

Am feeling generally pretty good. It's getting a bit awkward to do stuff, and I keep bumping into things but at least it's temporary!!

After today, I'm going to enjoy every minute of rest and relaxation I can get!!! :-)

Lady of Leisure???

It's official... I'm a kept woman.. I finished work last Friday and started my maternity leave... It was really strange waving Hubby off to work this morning and knowing that I don't have to go..

Am heading up to Brissy shortly to meet up with Dr Boof for a while, then having lunch with a friend from my EPA days.. Should be fun, and utterly exhausting!!!

Yesterday Hubby and I did some shopping for a couple of the little bits and pieces we needed for bub. I don't think we actually bought too much that we needed, although, having said that, we are now the proud owners of 18 fitted terry towelling nappies (can be used for bub 4.5 to 11 kilos), and three very large boxes of newborn disposable nappies which may hopefully tide us over until bub grows into the cloth ones..

We have finished off Beanie's room too.. Have attached a couple of pics!!

Valentines

Valentines day has lasted all week for me :-)

Hubby went out a couple of weeks ago and secretly bought me a present. He told me he'd bought me a present and I could have it on Valentines Day.. Then he started a countdown.. Yep.. He was reminding me daily how many sleeps to go until Valentines.. I am searching through the house trying to work out what was going on, Hubby is giving nothing away.. This was all OK, then the suspense REALLY started........

Monday I am sitting at work minding my own business, and our receptionist walks in with a single rose arrangement thing. She hands it to me, and I open the card thinking that Hubby has forgotten that Valentines day is actually two days away.. The card says "Two sleeps to Valentines Day".. This is where the girls at work start to get into the spirit of things, speculation starts as to what is going on.. The suspense builds..

Tuesday I am again sitting at work minding my own business when our receptionist again walks in carrying this time, an arrangement with 2 roses.. Female faces around the office turn an interesting shade of green as I open the card and it says "One more sleep 'till Valentines Day...."

Speculation in the office is rife by this stage, so I phone Hubby and plead with him to tell me what is going on in fairness to the girls at work.. He won't give ANYTHING away..

So, Valentines Day arrives and the office looks like a florist with the other girls partners sending flowers.. Our receptionist again walks in, and plonks a heart shaped box on my desk.. She laughes and says "Now he's got someone in a suit delivering your flowers."

Heads pop up from all around the office to watch me open the box.. Inside are rose petals, and an envelope with a card in it.. Hubby has written a beautiful poem on the card... It was so beautiful and sweet I started crying.... Darn hormones.. hehe

Anyway, thinking that I have the most romantic Hubby in the world, I head home.. On the bed at home is three presents... Inside the presents was...........

* A DIGITAL CAMERA!!!!!!!
* A PHOTO PRINTER!!!!!!!!
* SOME PHOTO PAPER AND A SPARE INK CARTRIDGE!!!!

I am SO spoiled!!! Can't wait to take lots of pics of bub! The camera is an Olympus 7.1 megapixel one with a HUGE screen on the back! It's small enough to fit in my handbag so I can take it anywhere!!!!

33 Weeks and Counting

Hello!!!

A couple of things have happened to me recently..

The first involved me getting older.. I'm now 25 (a quarter of a centuary as hubby reminded me)... Sis and I had a great combined party with about 35 people.. It was a great night and fun was had by all!!

I only have three weeks of work left now.. It's starting to get a little scary that it's all happening so fast.. It seemed such a long way away, but now I'll be finished work in 3 weeks and I'm sue in less than 7.... I'm going to be a mummy (hopefully) next month!!!

Here is a pic Hubby took about 2 weeks ago. I'm larger again now, but I don't have a new photo yet... I'm getting a little uncomfortable.. It's been hot and humid recently, which makes it hard to sleep, but I am starting to feel better about it.. Must be the bub getting me used to sleepless nights... hehe..

Not much else to report, hubby has been bringing home bits and pieces of our baby lay-by, now all we have to pick up is the Cot and mattress, Change table and the little chest of drawers and we're all set.. Once I work out what else we need I'll do a bit of shopping, but until then, I think we're doing pretty well...
