Ryan is now 7 and a half weeks old! Time has gone SO quickly! He is a beautiful little man, smiling all the time, and is a lot easier to settle than he was.. This morning I took him in the shower with me, it was lovely to watch him kicking away, although he didn't really like when the water sprayed on his face..

I am going back to work 2 days per week, starting on Friday. Ryan will go into childcare on Fridays, and Hubby will look after Ryan on Saturdays. It's only a temporary thing, work is really busy so I am just helping out until they get their new staff trained. It'll be good for me to stay in touch with what's happening with work, as it's a very fast changing industry, it'll also be great for Hubby & Ryan to spend some time together. As you can see by the pics, Hubby is completely in love with his son..

Ryan and I have been reading stories during the day, today we had some tummy time, then some nappy free time and a great big walk while the little man dozed.. Such a busy day!! He's so buggered after it all he's just gone to sleep.. (IN THE AFTERNOON?? UNHEARD OF!!!)

FINALLY!!!!! Some answers!!!!!

OK.. As you would probably know R and I have had a rough few weeks.. He has had problems settling and sleeping...

I finally went to the doctor to get a referal to a residential program in Brissy. Our GP asked a lot of questions about R, before finally telling me that it sounds as though he is lactose intolerant. He's prescribed a lactose free formula for him and the difference is amazing. He's been on it for a full day now and I cannot believe that this is the same baby. He settles easily, and when he is awake (which is still most of the day) he's happy, not crying and thrashing around like before...

He is now 5 and a half weeks old.. Wow.. How quickly the time has passed!! He smiled for the first time today!!! At Hubby.. Althought very pleased of course, I was a bit miffed that I spend around 18 hours a day with this kid, and he smiles at his Daddy first... R made up for it though because he smiled at me ALL day!!! hehe.. When I got out the camera, he stopped.. But I will get a picture! I promise!!!

Wow... R is a month old!!!!! Where did that month go??





R & I took a few weeks to settle in and get to know each other, but after a stay with my mum things are certainly 150% better now. He is a settled, happy baby and a joy to have around!!





I never knew that being a mum could be so rewarding, and that keeping him happy would be so joyously all consuming!!



We have received so many beautiful gifts for him, I have many many thankyou's to write.. I'm not being rude, there are just so many to be done!!
