2 years on....

Well, Hubby and I have been married for 2 years.. It feels like so much longer, and it also feels like it was only yesterday...

We haven't got much planned for our anniversary, maybe we'll go somewhere for lunch, but it'll be nice to spend some time together.

Hubby had his birthday yesterday, my mum, his parents and I all put in some money and got him a lawnmower.. He loved it!! R got him the lego set he wanted so all in all he had a great birthday. I also got all housewifey and made him a cake (well, two actually, it's a long story)..

R is 11 weeks old now.. He is being a bugger tonight, won't settle to sleep.. Hubby and I have been taking it in turns for about 2 hours now.. Hopefully he'll go to sleep soon.. In the meantime, we'll keep patting him on the bum.. hehe.

For the most part he is wonderful, during the day I just put him in his cot and he drifts off to sleep himself, but he had a big day today, meeting a new friend (a baby about 4 weeks older than him) and playing all afternoon with him.. I guess he's a little overtired and just too excited and awake to want to go to bed.

Sounds as though all the bum patting is paying off.. I am not hearing anything from R's room, so I think he's finally asleep!! Now, all he has to do is sleep through!! YAY!!! (I wish)...

He had his injections a couple of weeks ago, he was a bit out of sorts for a few days, but was back to his normal happy self pretty quickly.. My doctor says he is beautiful.. I tend to agree, but I'm well and truly biased... He's 5.84 kilos now, growing beautifully, and is still really long. The baby he hung out with today is 4 weeks older than him and about 2 inches shorter.. hehe

2 Months...

Wow... R is 2 months old.. Time has flown and he is getting SO big!!!

I was just looking at some of the pictures we took in his first few weeks of life, and then at some we took in the last couple of weeks.. It is SO amazing how much he has grown, but he's still so little....

I am taking him to get his 2 month vaccinations tomorrow, and I'm not looking forward to it.. I know he'll be fine, I just don't think I am going to cope very well watching someone stick needles in my little man.. Poor kid.

Anyway.. Life has pretty much settled into a predictable pattern here now, days are spent feeding, changing, playing, cuddles and going for nice walks after lunch, evenings Hubby gives the little man his bath, we feed him and get him into bed. He's sleeping pretty well at night, going from about 6pm through to 2am ish between feeds, then sleeping again until around 6 or 7am.. He's a good boy and the lactose free formula seems to be working well for us.

I went back to work.. It was good. I'm buggered completely after 2 days, then coming home and being Mum again, but I am enjoying both the social aspect of work, and getting back into excercising the grey matter again... It also helps me appreciate the time I have with R so much more!!!

Aunty Cath has been spoiling him rotten!! There's been so many parcels from O/S, incuding the lastest one... It's his first FOOTBALL!!!!!!!! I look forward to kicking that around with him! And the cutest little wrap!!! Thanks Aunty Cath!!!!

OK, well, I am going to go to bed while I can, I'll be up again in about 4 hours..
