The good old germ exchange....

The little fella was sent home from Kindy late last week with a case of School Sores.. I took him to a GP and got some antiboitics to clear it up, and spent the next 4 days trying not to touch him.. That is no mean feat when the kid needs feeding, nappy changing etc etc etc. Hubby stayed home with him on Monday, and I stayed home with him yesterday.. He had a 2 hour sleep, then a 40 minute one for his Daddy, and a grand total of 4 minutes sleep all day for me...

Anyway, today he was cleared to go back to kindy (and me back to work). I took him down this morning to drop him off and usually he jumps out of my arms and leaps into his carers arms.. Not today, he got all shy and just wanted to cuddle into my shoulder. awwwwww... See?? He does love me!!!

His school sores are all cleared up too.. YAY

Gluttons for Punishment....

It's official, there is another little Cogs on the way!! Hubby and I had our first official ultrasound today, we saw our little "Jelly" and Hubby even looked at the right thing this time...

"Jelly" has a good heartbeat, and it looks as though he or she will be making an appearance around the 12th December.

Birthday Cake!!

People who know me know that I love cake... I decided that I was going to make the little fella's 1st birthday cake from the good old Womans Weekly birthday cake cookbook (the one my mum used to use when Sis and I were kids).. Anyway, using every ouce of originality I possess, we decided on a number one.

Here is a pic.. I am actually pretty proud of how it turned out!!! Maybe they'll make a chef of me yet.... Or not...

We took this video about a week ago.. He was still tottering along, falling down a lot and generally keeping me well amused... In just one short week he has gone from a few steps and falling over, then doing it all again, to walking everywhere with so much confidence..

Yesterday afternoon the little fella and I went for a walk around the block while we waited for Daddy to come home.. Yep, he walked most of the way holding my hand, but not being supported by me.. It really is amazing to watch this child develop so fast!!!

He's come a long way since then, now he's walking like a professional. It's quite a strange feeling to be standing in the kitchen or sitting on the lounge and to have your baby wander past in an upright position.. it just doesn't seem right. He can't be big/old enough to walk yet can he???

It's not every day your little person turns one.. We had a bit of a party last Sunday.. Lots of party food, lots of drinks and lots of friends.. Ryan was totally spoiled, he got so many lovely gifts!!! Here are some pics..

I've been slack..... Here are some updated pictures!!

No really, I have been a total and utter slacker with posting and updating pics on the blog.. I have had a number of gentle reminders (and some a little demanding actually) from a certain someone in the UK who shall remain nameless but whose surname may or may not be incorporated in a brand of tractor..
