The small fry again

Here are a couple of pictures of the small fry now that she is almost 2 weeks old...  Where does the time go??

Cooking!!!

It's been raining here for the last few days and the small person (and therefore the big people) are going nuts with being cooped up inside all day!!

The little fella and I decided to cook a cake...

He only helped because he wanted to lick the beaters..

And the icing spoon..

He insisted on Blue icing so the cake had a lovely "mouldy top" look to it..  

It did however, taste delicious...

All Inked Up

Now I love my son..  Don't get me wrong,..  But there are days when I could kill him!!

Last Sunday was one of those days...

He had helped himself to a bit of paper and what I thought was a pencil (and later realised was a blue ball point pen) and was happily drawing away when I heard that special sound of pen nib on carpet...  Ahhh  the serenity...

His little artwork was quickly "carpet powered" (and SHOCK, Carpet Power does NOT actually work) and the stain spread..  

We rang father in law who has a lot of knowledge on all things carpet and his suggestion was to shoot the child..  I explained that this wasn't an option as we would then have a blood problem to deal with as well as the ink, so father in law came over and saved the day by using his special carpet solvent stuff to get the ink out...

The child on the other hand, will never touch a pen again....

Here are some pics from the Truck and Machinery expo at the EKKA showgrounds..  They hold these things every 2 years and Hubby was just Dying to go, and as the little fella is so into trucks/diggers/machines/anything with an engine really, he decided to take him along for the ride...

Alyssa makes an appearance!!

Alyssa Louise Coghill was born on Monday 11th May 2009 at 1:51pm after a super fast 2 hour labour..  8 pounds 6 ounces (3.81 kg) 49.5cm long and so cute!!!

Mummy and Baby both doing well, she is feeding like a champ and I am feeling pretty good too!!  She is a very contented and relaxed baby, who just wants to feed and sleep..  

Daddy is pretty pleased with himself, and big brother at this stage has been fantastic!
