Rain and Scooters Don't Work
Last Friday I drove my little scooter to Southport for it's first service..
Let me mention at this stage that it was raining heavily all the way...
I'd put off the service all last week because it had been raining and the weatherman said it was going to clear up.. Anyway, when I woke up on Friday morning, the first thing I heard was the sound sof rain on the tin roof of the neighbours house... Unfortunately there was no other option.. I needed to get it done that day as I was starting my new job on Monday and there wouldn't have been another opportunity for the service for some time..
Anyway, to cut a long story (and ride) short, I arrived in Southport with water literally running off me.. I staggered into the shop and dripped a puddle on their floor.. After phoning Hubby and asking him to come and get me (I was going to wait for the scooter and ride home), I rung out my socks and gloves and waited..
Basically the rest of the story is pretty uneventful, Sis and I went and got the scooter in the afternoon, and I made it home without getting too wet..
It did, however, take me three days to dry my jacket.......
